Landscaper in Kingsbridge,Estuary Plots and Big Views
Kingsbridge sits at the head of its estuary with the town climbing away on both sides. The gardens here trade on their views, which means terraces, decks and seating built exactly where the view is.

Where we work in Kingsbridge
We cover the whole of Kingsbridge and the streets and villages around it, including:
- Fore Street and the town centre
- Dodbrooke and Church Street
- Westville and the Embankment side
- the Belle Cross and Derby Road estates
- West Alvington, Churchstow and Salcombe road nearby
If you are near the Kingsbridge estuary and the Quay, the Shambles on Fore Street, St Edmund's Church or the coast road out towards Salcombe, you are well inside our working area.
Designing around the view
On the slopes above the estuary the best part of the garden is often the least usable part of it. Getting a level terrace or a deck to the right spot, with safe steps up to it, is what turns a view you glance at into somewhere you sit.
Balustrade, handrails and lighting get the same attention as the paving, because on a sloping plot they are what make it usable after dark and safe all year.
Exposure, and larger rural plots
Closer to the water and out on the Salcombe road, salt and wind are a genuine factor in choosing timber, fixings and planting. We specify for it rather than hoping.
Away from the town the plots get bigger: paddock edges, long boundaries and full garden schemes where the design has to hold together across a lot more ground. Those are built in a sequence so the finished areas are not disturbed by the next stage.

Kingsbridge: common questions
How far south do you travel?
Kingsbridge, West Alvington, Churchstow and the surrounding South Hams villages are all within our coverage from Denbury.
Can you build a deck out over a slope?
Yes, on a properly founded substructure with the drop guarded where it needs to be. That structure is carpentry as much as landscaping, which is what the team is qualified in.
What lasts best near the estuary?
Composite decking, corrosion-resistant fixings and hardier planting. Phil will go through the options honestly for how exposed your plot is.
