Landscaper in Exeter,City Gardens Done Cleanly
Exeter work is city work: shared boundaries, terraced streets, neighbours a few feet away and access through the house or a narrow side passage. How the job is run matters as much as how it is built.

Where we work in Exeter
We cover the whole of Exeter and the streets and villages around it, including:
- St Leonard's and Wonford Road
- Heavitree and Polsloe
- Pennsylvania and Duryard
- St Thomas and Exwick
- Alphington Road, Marsh Barton and the Topsham Road side
If you are near Exeter Cathedral and the green, the Quay and the Exeter Canal, Northernhay and Rougemont Gardens or the River Exe and Riverside Valley Park, you are well inside our working area.
Access, neighbours and keeping it tidy
In the Victorian streets around St Leonard's, Heavitree and Pennsylvania the garden is often only reachable through the house or a shared passage. We plan the sequence in advance: protection down, spoil out in manageable loads, materials staged rather than dumped, and the site swept at the end of every day.
It is not glamorous, but on a city job it is the difference between a build your neighbours tolerate and one they complain about.
Making a small city plot work harder
Exeter gardens are often narrow and overlooked, so the job is usually about privacy, levels and usable surface rather than acreage. Raised beds, a well-proportioned terrace, a screen or pergola for privacy and good lighting turn a thin strip into a proper room outside.
On the sloping ground at Pennsylvania and Duryard we terrace instead, gaining two level spaces where there was one unusable bank.

Exeter: common questions
Can you work where there is no rear access?
Yes. Plenty of Exeter jobs run through the house or a shared passage. We protect the route, work in smaller loads and allow for it in the price.
Will the street be blocked by deliveries?
We keep deliveries short and coordinated, and clear spoil the same way. Where parking is a problem we arrange it in advance rather than turning up and hoping.
Do you cover the villages outside the city?
Yes. Alongside the city we work at Exminster, Alphington, Topsham and the surrounding villages.
