We had the opportunity to work with Sam and Claire on a project to revitalize their newly acquired home in the heart of Dartmoor. They were concerned about the safety of their old timber deck, which had succumbed to rot and become dangerously slippery due to embedded algae.
Understanding the unique charm of their stone-built property, we mutually decided that a new timber deck would best complement the aesthetic. The project began with the meticulous dismantling and responsible disposal of the old deck.
Challenged by limited access to the property and minimal storage space, progress was initially slow. We encountered various obstacles while fitting the new deck around the unconventional structure of the building; however, we persevered and overcame each issue.
The final result is a secure and picturesque space where Sam and Claire can truly unwind while relishing the breath taking views of the Devon countryside. We are pleased to have provided them with a safe outdoor area to savour their chosen beverages and make lasting memories.
