That shapes who we help, what we take on, and how far we travel to do it. “I started my career working for several landscaping and fencing businesses, where I developed my skills and gained valuable hands-on experience. Along the way, I trained and qualified in horticulture and carpentry, building a strong foundation across both landscaping and construction.” “After 10 years working in the trade, I decided it was time to put everything I had learned to the test and create something of my own.” “What I love most is bringing ideas to life. A client might have a vision of what they would like, and I enjoy taking that initial idea, developing it, and finding creative solutions to turn it into a fabulous outdoor space or a stunning structure.” “Seeing an idea go from a thought or sketch to something real that people can enjoy, that's the buzz for me.” Phil Clayborough, Founder Qualifications & cover - National Diploma in Amenity HorticultureFormal training in soft landscaping, planting and ground care. - Level 2 Diploma in CarpentryThe structural side: decking frames, garden rooms, gates and pergolas. - Fully insuredPublic liability cover. The two self-employed tradesmen working alongside Phil are covered under the same policy. Who we help ## Homeowners who care about the details Our clients are homeowners across South Devon who want a garden that feels like a natural extension of their home, thoughtfully designed and carefully finished. ### What we specialise in Hard landscaping and outdoor construction: paving, patios and driveways, garden and retaining walls, fencing, decking, garden rooms and pergolas, and full garden design and renovation. Groundwork, masonry, carpentry and planting are all handled in-house. ### Depth of experience 30 years across landscaping and construction, with formal qualifications in horticulture and carpentry, plus expertise in groundworks. That combination is why a deck frame, a retaining wall and a planting scheme can all come from the same team. ### Where we work From our base in Denbury, near Newton Abbot: Teignbridge, Torbay, Exeter and the South Hams. Staying inside that radius keeps site visits, deliveries and aftercare straightforward. Mission and standards ## Careful groundwork, lasting results Every project starts with care beneath the surface. We give the hidden groundwork the same attention as the finished paving, decking or walls, with sub-bases built to suit your ground, drainage planned from the outset, footings set to depth and timber fixed to stay sound through every season. Wherever possible, we focus on one project at a time. The team who plans your garden is the team who builds it, so work flows smoothly from start to finish and you always have someone on hand to talk things through. Our pricing is simple and fixed. It's based on the measured area and the work involved, so you know exactly where you stand before we begin. Our promise ### One point of contact You speak to the same team about the design, the price and the programme, from the first visit to the finished job.
